Selecting the Private Day school program opens up the possibility to live and study in exciting cities such as Dublin and Cork or in typically Irish towns throughout the country. The Irish education system ranks as one of the top in Europe. Students will be placed in a Private Day school of your choosing, based on their academic profile in smaller towns throughout Ireland. They will benefit from being in close-knit communities and warm and friendly Host Families.

Living with an Irish Host Family

Ireland is famous for its friendly hospitality and long-standing tradition of welcoming international students, so it’s no surprise that our host families in Ireland are among some of the best in the world.

As a member of a host family, international students will experience life in Ireland first-hand. Their host family will introduce them to Irish culture and help them to feel comfortable in their new home. They will have the unique opportunity to truly improve their English, experience everyday life alongside Irish people and certainly not least, create bonds with a caring family who they will probably stay in touch with for the rest of their life!

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

Applicants Aged : Program is open to students who are aged 14 – 17  at the start of the school year in August
Length of Program : Academic Year, Multiple Year, Semester, Term
Minimum English Requirement : IELTS 4.0 or equivalent
Academic History : Minimum Grade C equivalent in English, Maths and 5 other subjects
Can a diploma be obtained? : To earn the full Leaving Certificate, students will need to complete the full 2-year programme. All students will receive a transcript at end of studies regardless of length of stay.
Program Start : Last week of August / Start of January 
Application Deadline : 30th June for September admission, 15th November for January admission
